Modern Waterfront Pool in Lighthouse Point

Nestled on the water in Lighthouse Point, this pool was built with one goal in mind: a backyard a young family could grow into and enjoy for years to come. As a Lighthouse Point pool builder, we designed a clean, modern layout that plays off the waterfront setting, blending the pool seamlessly into the surrounding outdoor living space. The result is a sophisticated rectangular pool finished with custom porcelain coping.

On the family-friendly side of the design, a spacious shallow sun shelf gives younger kids a safe, comfortable spot to splash and play while parents relax close by — whether it’s a quiet weekday afternoon or a backyard full of guests for a summer celebration. Just off the sun shelf, a spa flush with the pool gives the adults their own space to unwind — whether it’s a quiet soak after the kids are in bed or a natural gathering spot when friends come over for an evening by the water.

For the finish, our customer chose PebbleTec® French Gray, prized for how it transforms the water into a deep, natural blue with a subtle, sophisticated undertone — a look that complements the waterfront rather than competing with it. Beyond the aesthetics, PebbleTec stands up to the sun exposure and daily wear that come with true four-season pool living in South Florida, far outlasting a standard plaster finish.

Every choice in this project — from the finish to the placement of the sun shelf and spa — was guided by three priorities: modern style, everyday functionality for a young family, and the relaxed outdoor lifestyle that makes Lighthouse Point such a desirable place to call home. It’s a great example of how a clean, simple pool footprint can still flex to fit real family life, from morning laps to evening entertaining.

Thank you to this wonderful family for trusting Aquafresh Pools with their vision — we loved bringing this waterfront backyard to life.
